Tormod Rogne graduated from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) as a medical doctor in 2015, and with a PhD in 2016. Rogne had his residency at Akershus University Hospital and Ski municipality in 2016-2018. From March 2018, Rogne has had the position as postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Circulation and Medical Imaging, NTNU, and was a Fulbright Scholar to Yale University from August 2018 to March 2019. His research field is in genetic epidemiology, with focus on genetic susceptibility to infectious diseases. Rogne has conducted studies applying genome-wide association analysis, linkage analysis and Mendelian randomization analysis.
